2018年5月19-24日，我系薛小平教授、王睿副教授在Kansas City参加2018 IEEE ICC(International Conference on Communication)。
会议期间，薛小平教授、王睿副教授聆听了高通的Getting more than just data Rates with 5G，Purdu University的SecurityandPrivacy in the IoT，华为的Bring 5G into Reality，Sprint的Sprint 5G and the Power of Massive MIMO等高水平的主题报告。
两位教授参加了多个Workshop的交流和讨论，包括UAV、Massive MIMO，5G Ultra Dense Networks，Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access Techniques for 5G，Full-Duplex Communications for Future Wireless, 5G Architecture等。
5月23日中午，薛小平教授、王睿副教授还参加了MMTC的学术交流活动，并作为新成员选举了MMTC的领导成员。
会议期间，薛小平教授向相关的与会人员介绍了同济大学信息与通信工程学科发展概况、研究方向以及取得的主要学术成果等；王睿副教授展示了学术论文，并在Workshop上进行了大会报告。

IEEE ICC 2018 will be held in Kansas City, MO. Known as the Heart of America, the city is near both the population center of the United States and the geographic center of the 48 contiguous states. Its central location has led to Kansas City’s growing tech density and its burgeoning startup activity. The city has become a worldwide technology destination.
